Endodontics (root canal treatment)

Saving the
natural tooth.

A natural tooth is an asset worth fighting for. Using a treatment microscope and minimally invasive technology, we save teeth that were once destined for extraction.

Myth vs. reality

"A root canal hurts"
Not true.

The pain you feel comes from the inflammation in the tooth, not from the treatment. The treatment itself is the solution that stops the pain.

Thanks to modern local anesthesia and gentle techniques, most of our patients report that the treatment was surprisingly easy, and some even fall asleep during it.

Our advantage

Why a microscope?

Root canals are as thin as a hair. Trying to treat them with the naked eye is like trying to thread a needle in a dark room.

  • 25x magnification

We see tiny cracks, hidden extra canals, and residual infection that other dentists miss.

  • Preserving tooth structure

The precision lets us drill a tiny access hole (Ninja Access) and preserve the strength of the original tooth.

  • Long-term success

More thorough cleaning = less chance the inflammation returns in the future.

96%Success rate for microscopic root canals (vs. about 85% for standard treatment)

Types of root canal treatment

Primary root canal

When decay has reached the nerve and there is inflammation. We clean the canals, disinfect and seal.

One or two visits

Root canal retreatment

Fixing an old treatment that failed. A complex procedure that requires dismantling the old work and overcoming obstacles in the canal.

Requires a microscope

Treating cracks

Accurate diagnosis of cracks in the tooth. Sometimes the tooth can be saved, and sometimes the microscope spares unnecessary treatment on a lost tooth.

When should you come in?

Severe pain that wakes you at night
Extreme sensitivity to cold/heat that lasts many seconds
Pain when chewing or on contact
Swelling of the gum near the tooth
A change in tooth color (turning gray)
